AASHTO Up Close is a video series dedicated to enlightening viewers about the people, purpose and priorities of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. In this video we feature AASHTOWare, a cooperative computer software development program within the Engineering and Technical Services Division of AASHTO. AASHTOWare is produced at significant cost savings because it is cooperatively developed and continually updated by volunteer experts from state transportation departments across the country. These experts determine software requirements and design, and oversee the work of contract software developers to create software that solves complex problems that are common to all transportation agencies.
