Recently I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8.1. In windows 8.1 I had installed intel graphics media accelerator because it supports openGL 2.0 but when I upgraded to windows 10 it automatically installed updates for graphics and stopped intel graphics media accelerator. That's why I m not able to play many games like minecraft which asks for openGL 2.0. So, I would like to ask you to either provide support for openGL 2.0 in windows graphics update or tell method to disable some updates in windows 10. My specs are:- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 32-bit (10.0, Build 10240) (10240.th1.1) System Manufacturer: HCL Infosystems Limited System Model: 945GCM-S2L BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz Memory: 1536MB RAM Card name: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.0) Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Display Memory: 256 MB. Hi, Welcome to Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated. I would suggest you to follow these methods and check.

Method 1: I would suggest you to update the graphics card. If that doesn’t help then uninstall and reinstall the graphics card driver and check if it helps. To uninstall graphics card driver from Device Manager, follow these steps. A.Press Windows Key + X, choose Device Manager.

B.Expand the Display Adapters. C.Right-click on the graphics card driver and click on Uninstall.

Restart the computer. Download and install the graphics card driver from manufacturer’s website.

Method 2: If that does not help, I would suggest you to reinstall Minecraft game. Press Windows key + X, choose Programs and Features. B. Right-click on the game and choose Uninstall and follow onscreen instructions.

Restart the computer and install the game. Method 3: You may also try installing the games in compatibility mode and check: Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists. Patch Keep us posted if you face any issues on windows in future. We will be glad to help you. Thanks & Regards, AS.

Microsoft seem to be trying to pass this off as a driver problem, but the evidence suggests otherwise. The driver works fine on Windows 7 and 8.x with Minecraft and other applications, but stops working on Windows 10. Other applications, such as Stellarium, report no OpenGL 2 support with this driver under Windows 10. Both Windows and Intel report the driver is up to date and as it works on previous versions of Windows that suggests the problem is Windows 10. The problem for MS here is that they told us our hardware was Windows 10 compatible before the upgrade, as such they are unable to blame the hardware and therefore need to sort out the issue. Can you explain how you managed to install Windows 10 with the CPU you have? I have exactly the same Proccessor and my upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 keeps failing (must have tried about 40 times now) despite Windows continually nagging me to upgarde and telling me everything is compatible.
